Bluebell woods, square fused glass fruit bowl in blues and greens

The intense blues and greens I use in this square fruit bowl are really intense and were inspired by the bluebell woods after the rain. There is something so special about the intense blues that are almost luminous against the fresh and luscious greens of the woods in bluebell season. Those colours seem so vibrant you can almost smell them.  Of course, glass fusing lends itself to capturing this colour drama perfectly. This design is a mark-making delight. I really do have fun making these small fruit bowls, and I hope they bring a bit of fun and colourful joy to your home. The bowls are around 10 inches square and the hollow is around 6 inches square. Each one is handmade and I couldn’t make any two the same even if I tried, and I don’t. So please be prepared for each fruit bowl to be different to the photos in some way, although they all capture the same freshness of the bluebell woods. I have called this a fruit bowl but these bowls are wonderful for serving bowls, snack bowls, sweet bowls and pasta dishes, there is no limit.
